I've posted about WinRAR here before.

It is one of the most-used and useful apps to have on hand.

Also, I shared a no-install version of it with a generic key file that I used this KG to make for it...and:
I always thought that the existence of a KG for it must be common knowledge.
Apparently not - my bad, sorry.

SO - to me, a KG is the very best of all things when it comes to USING s/w !!!

He's just using exactly the same kind of thing that I give you here.

Its clean, safe and works fine.
Want 100 different keyfiles ?? Sure. Go for it.

BUT:
Please do not repeat the actions of the other poster here or anyplace, this file is free for anyone to get and use - so use it for yourself, friends, etc., but please don't use it as a post count or rep magnet as that is very poor form.

Full disclosure:
VT on this is NASTY as most AVs are set up to scare you away from all KGs, if this frightens you then DO NOT get or use this.

My windows defender did screamed about a keygen but you can exclude folders and run the keygen.

I even have WinRAR v5.40 but tried it anyways and it worked perfect.

As AVs go, 'defender' is one of the most fake and worst.
(It is a rotten mainstream AV that intentionally flags any/all w*r*z tools, BTW.)
Windows defender is that way by design because mikr0$0ft despises all w*r*z.

So, in summary:
Defender identified that there is a KG in there - yahoo - a good job done by a terrible AV that will merrily "protect" you from getting a free key - very good, yes ?!?

2 of its 3 versions can be had for totally free, and it is actually a good choice for anyone who does not need advanced configuration options in an AV.

Yes - it is spoken of poorly by folks who have distrust or disdain for products of China.

All I can say is that a friend of mine was sick of paying his yearly AV tax (as he called it) and I stuck that on his NB for him - and he's had no problems and been happy with it since then, right to this minute.

Another totally non-technical friend was also happy with it until she finally killed off her CPU for good - but it was totally kept clean of malware until that happened and scanning her data to recover it for her confirmed that it was totally clean, still.
