November 11 Take a moment
Tomorrow is Nov 11......
Here in Canada we celebrate it as 2 memorial on the same day. Armistice Day to commemorate the end of WW I when the guns ceased firing on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. At the end of the second world war it was recognized as Remembrance Day to remember those who fell during the war. That is why there is 2 minutes of silence at 11:00 in Canada. I know other countries recognize these events in there own manner, some with different names, some on different days. Please take a moment or two, out of respect, to recognize those that fell for our freedoms. Polly |
