In the listing it mentions the work of John Bedini - whom some folks claim was murdered due to his success in this field - I hope this man is not going down a similarly dangerous path to his own doom.

There is plenty of mystery around Mr. Bedini as with some other 'free energy' scientists.
His works and mentions can easily be found - but his own website about that is messed up.
There is no definitive, certain proof to be easily found about this man's state either.
For a while he seemed to vanish utterly, and there were reports of his death and claims that he was murdered - as well as his complete disapearance from the forum he hung out at.
Then he supposedly reappeared - so I don't know what may be true - but there's lots of guys who got into this sort of work that had bad things happen to them - like Eric Dollard, for example.
'Free energy' has been a very dangerous topic for a very long time - look at what happened to Tesla - arguably the most brilliant man with great inventions, who died in poverty and solitude.

Maybe the best way for the solid evidence of Mr. Bedini still alive is that he himself shows and talks some latest free energy info in a latest youtube video with a newspaper of latest date in his hands ....say 19th Sept, 2018....

Yes, I agree - and I will not repeat some of the assertions that flew around concerning him - they were what most folks would see as too far out...
