Depends on whether you are a laddie or a lass - the latter seem to get paid more (should be obvious as many lads would be ready to do it for free) and the latter should also have an easier time getting in to the field.

Putting thinking cap on, here we go -
* Since significant amount of web traffic is pr*n, don't have unrealistic expectations of instant success.
* Have your (tasteful, not raunchy) portfolio made.
* Do your research:
- Determine which niche you would fit into and what all you would be comfortable doing.
- Find which sites (including social media) actors and glamor models who participate in activities of interest hang out and create accounts there - interact with them and photogs there and share your portfolio.
- Find out which movies/videos are popular in the niche - contact the webmasters of sites producing them for more info/contacts.

Hmm, I wounder how would someone give work experience and references in the industry...
