don't know what to do? don't know where to go? then i found this list of the best conferences for you creative types to see or be seen in 2018. this is the best list i have found online, with links to some others also included below. add your own link in a comment if you find a better list, only if it is better please.

I’ve talked about how meeting other creatives face-to-face at conferences, craft shows and other events has been absolutely crucial for growing my biz over the years.

While there are plenty of conference roundups out there, I couldn’t find one that comprehensively listed the types of creative conferences that I’d like to attend or speak at. So I decided to create one!

What I mean by “creative conference”
I’m taking a pretty broad approach to what it means to be a “creative conference,” which is why I’m including events like Dragoncon, which is full of INCREDIBLY creative people. I also included a lot of Maker Faires here. I’ve been to a few, including the flagship event near San Francisco, and they are awesome events for creatives to meet each other, learn and get inspired. Both of these events are a meeting of like-minded folks and they usually offer some type of workshop or educational panel.

I steered clear of most traditional business and digital marketing industry events for this roundup, but I included a few bigger conferences that are known for kickass speakers and amazing content. (below are two bonuses, one is a great directory of web business and marketing conferences if you’re interested. And if you’re into zines and small press publishing, check out that link to a list of zine events.)

Most events listed here are geared towards individual creative entrepreneurs, artists, bloggers, designers, infopreneurs and crafters. I’ve included the primary target audience for each conference below.

The majority of these events are based in the United States, but if you live anywhere in the world and know of a creative entrepreneur conference that should be on this list, please contact me and let me know!

most people who fail, fail to plan. they make no plans for the coming year, which just started by the way. it is already 2018 now, 2017 and the past is gone. only your future remains. you can either plan for success or plan to fail. your failure is assured if you make no plans. events like the above 3 lists i share include must see events if you are in a business of any kind, there is an event or two there for you!

some of you are so clueless you do not see the value of these events and will not go. your loss is everyone else's gain. and the extra clueless types still do not understand, 'be seen' many of these events and countless others still need speakers! you grow your business and your brand by speaking at events, if there are 20 or more people who paid to be in that room, you want to speak there. who knows if any one or two of them will be your next BIG client and/or customer!! bonus tip: it always helps to have a killer slide show at these events, you on a stage talking is not engaging enough, you need something for people to look at + a short video will not hurt either.
