Was wondering if there are any crea8social pro experts HERE that can explain HOW to modify the content contained in the "Awesome Splash Landing" page. I found matching content in this page:

/languages/english.php

but after modifying the code... Splash page remains the same. I'm obviously missing something.

Any other tutorials on how to customize this script would be greatly appreciated.

As I remember this script has cache so probabbly youu will need to wipe it in order to see changes. I will check if I have this installed on my server and get back with a better anwser ;)

Hey, I appreciate that... Was digging around a little while ago and it seems that this is part of the PHRASES section under the English language... Unfortunately, I have to reinstall a few files to make sure i.e., get the site back to just installed with no modifications. Most likely, I jumped the gun. As usual. LOL.

For those of you attempting to change the "Awesome Splash Landing" page in this script? Inside the Admin Control Panel, simply click on over to:

Site Manager > Languages > Phrase Manager

Then click on Block 19 at the bottom of the page... On page 19, scroll down to:

welcome-note -- the text block to the far right of this is where you can modify the Awesome Splash Landing page.

For anyone really wanting to build their own Social Network, I highly recommend going through each one of these blocks (Phrases). You'll immediately see what you'll need to change in order to customize YOUR social network -- especially IF it's a niche social network.

There is a problem with the forum in admin panel ... When I try to edit theme in admin panel or change the categories of the forum displays Something went wrong...How can I fix the problem?

I keep playing with this thing...

Problems I'm having:

1) Cannot upload .jpg images for some reason. All other media and image files upload FINE. However, obviously most people registering for such a network will be trying to upload a .jpg and yes, jpg is included in the media files the script accepts. Just isn't working.

2) Linking to specific feed posts... When I link to a specific feed post, clicking on the link simply redirects the visitor to the main landing page.

This script is SERIOUSLY lacking documentation. The creator's site knowledge base sucks. Nothing is very clear when it comes to configuration. I'm glad I didn't purchase it beforehand because I'd be unhappy.

I'm slowly figuring things out... Then implementing them but without proper documentation, it's pretty much stabbing in the dark and seeing what the modification YOU JUST PERFORMED ended up doing to the look of your site.

Having said that... I do like the script. It has great potential i.e., creating a NICHE social networking platform. I just wish it was easy to figure out how to do things...

--Getting started -- I have no idea how to implement the "Getting Started" steps once a user registers. Cannot figure it out.

--Redirects. Any link from the a specific url on the site except pages and blog posts redirect back to the main page of the site. I've looked at .htaccess and files till I'm blue in the face.

I'll keep plugging away though. But if anyone knows where a good tutorial might be, please share!
