I've been using the PinPal bot cracked version for several weeks, and I've barely earned any money at all from it. There's no way I can justify the $247 price if I haven't earned even a fraction of that yet.

in my opinion. pinterest users know what to click and not to. In a pin it shows the url of the link at the bottom left so they look at that before clicking. I too are not making much. Its a race to have people click your amazon aff link. If pinpal user have over 2k accounts they are making money but if you have at most 100 you wont.
You must be creative when marketing in pinterest.

I second what Rovad said, spending on something that we don't fully understand keeps us reluctant in buying. Specially your software which to some is a bit pricey. But yeah you're right, someone who is already banking on it and wants to continue using it should already buy the licensed copy. This way the software can be improved and supported better.
Don't worry mate, I myself is saving to buy your software. Been following your threads in BH World since you started the project and I know any serious IMer need your software.
I appreciate your calmness in expressing your thought here unlike some devs who will just barge in and flame the thread.
You and Gimme have my respect, I just wish you can give a good deal to a poor soul like me who is desperately wanting to buy your software :)

obviously if a software developer releases a software that could be powerful it will be price high because if you get it and use it you will be one of the first to mass things and the accounts will be aged. In the web world websites, accounts, etc that are aged have a better chance in things. So when websites companies sees this they focus on illuminating things that stands in the way like spam.
And so if your an amataur in things it's harder to accomplish when someone who is already front of you.
example like the guys who made a bunch of twitter accounts when twitter first become popular and if they manage it to be alive for a long time they are banking money.
Well the point is try experiencing things that work and "think outside of the box", be creative, this is what internet marketing is all about.
