What Is Actually Deemed A Good Product?

Hey guys,

So I've had every product I've sold so far requested or put on here.. I don't really care that much, my blog is like 15% - 20% of my income and I do it because I like writing and generally have had a lot of success from those who use em.

Some of the products were liked, some disliked.. Standard spiel for BBHF.

But something I wanted to ask, considering the amount of request threads I see on here for products that are obviously bullshit, and the amount of complaints I see from people saying a product is BS, in comparison to the amount (which is actually relatively small) of people saying a product is good..

Is what is actually deemed as a good product? For YOU, what is deemed as something that is "worth" spending the money on, rather than just leeching and learning maybe 1 or 2 tidbits from.

I understand that people here are on all different levels in their IM journeys, so that makes catering for everyone EXTREMELY difficult, unless you brand a product a specific way - Which causes it's own set of monetary problems, due to the small number of people who'll buy a product getting even smaller because you have to cater to a specific sub-section of the IM scene.

I know 99% of products are bullshit, most of the hyped up sensational "SEOs" (Alex Becker, OMG Machines etc) are churn and burn SEOs, in the sense they churn and burn SEOs with a new product launch every few months.. Which is always the same: S***** product, no updates and no refunds - Often even with a refund guarantee. I've done reviews which have made a number of these bigger launched products come crashing to their knees.. CloudPBN, WorkHorse to name a few.

But I'd really like to get a sense from you guys and gals (as BBHF is probably the biggest place in the world for SEO/IM premium content/tools consumption) what you think about this.

To me good products are those that actually include live on the screen training where i see you doing the action live and i can ask my questions right then and there (Most of Brittany Lynch Products and a few others).

Bad products and shady pitchmen often go hand in hand. Many of the "big shots" in this realm have forgotten what has helped them become a superstar and have opted to use their name as an ATM machine. This is evidenced by changing a small detail or two and rehashing an old training or method, branding it the next big thing. I've been burned enough by spending hundreds of dollars on something launched by someone who has had a great product in the past to find it is merely a rebranded version of the same. For example (without mentioning names), look to one of your fellow countrymen marketing anything in which the product name ends in some version of Oscar Papa Sierra.

When the bones are the same, the product isn't "new." Spending hundreds of dollars for leftovers = bad product.

Yup... That's the best way to learn in my opinion... Can't go wrong with that.. All the student has to do is replicate what you did in a different niche..

We are all born with an inner sense of knowing what is true and what is a lie but most people don't tap into it or ignore it and fall for crap. If you a lie long enough and repeat it people will believe it and this is what marketing or the sales pitch is based on. Some of us get desperate because we have bills to pay and we pay dearly for our mistake$. I'm still paying but I never give up.

Why? Well, some people are making money and most make money by selling you on the get-rich-quick MMO schemes and scams. You have to find out their secrets which they never reveal (warriorforum was/is portal for these scams). You stumble upon marketing principles, form a plan, execute it and if you have maintain the will to work then something good will happen and the money will flow.

I know I ought to practice the "Power of One" where you focus on one long-term method, make the 1st buck, scale it and move on to the next method.

Hey Charles,

Good question. I got into this whole IM thing in a bad way to start out, I joined the Empower Network which was full of some of the worst internet marketers I had ever discovered.

I started learning as much as I could for years about SEO, internet marketing and buying product after product spending thousands of various courses and training.

I'd say 95% of the time if I read something or learned about a said method I'd give it a shot and if nothing gave me instant gratification I'd get annoyed and move on.

I always kept thinking for a long time "There is something better out there" that would get me results faster, nothing like this exists and everything takes work.

It took me a long time to figure this out but after spending days (literally days) on this forum checking out more products than I can count I finally realized something.

Most marketers make money selling products to others.

Sure, I've had some success with things I tried.

-I learned how to build Wordpress sites
-I did a podcast for 2 years and met tons of awesome people like Pat Flynn, John Lee Dumas, Andrew Warner to name a few.
-I made a Kindle eBook
-I made Amazon affiliate sites
-I learned a lot about SEO, eCommerce and different CRM's

The list goes on.

It wasn't until I started showing others how to do some of these things I started making any real money.

As of today I've made probably somewhere in the realm of over 30k just teaching simple online courses. The funny thing is one of my best sellers is an Amazon affiliate course and I've made way more money from course sales than I have as an actual Amazon affiliate.

There are plenty of good courses I've seen floating around this forum, some even years old that would still be good today in 2016. I still just firmly believe the real money is in selling someone else the 'dream' of making money online and that's why I spend 99% of my time in IM selling other people content from what I learned over the years.
