Ooops! Kanye West Outs Himself Using The Pirate Bay!
First, the evidence. Here's the photo (below) Kanye posted on his Twitter feed:

From Techradar:

Quote:Well this is a little awkward. Kanye West has been caught using The Pirate Bay, after he tweeted a photo of his computer screen and forgot to crop.

While plenty of people were interested to see Kanye was listening to Sufjan Stevens - possibly a hint at an influence/collaboration on his next album - eyes were quickly drawn to one of the other browser tabs.

In fact, artist deadmau5 flagged the fact that Kanye was searching for Xfer Records Serum music editing software in one tab, and had made a search for Xfer on The Pirate Bay in another.

There's no evidence he had actually gone as far as to download the software, but it doesn't look great -especially as Kanye was also browsing MusicRadar's guide to the 50 best VST/AU plugin synths. As our MusicRadar friends point out, Xfer Records Serum features at number one on the list.

There are a number of reasons why this is a particularly bad gaffe for Yeezy to make. First, Kanye has been a major supporter of Tidal, the streaming service that was built to provide better audio to users and better royalties to artists.

He even took part in that really awkward Tidal re-launch ceremony last year, standing alongside Jay Z, Arcade Fire, deadmau5 and other artists in solidarity.

He is also currently streaming his latest album, The Life of Pablo, exclusively on the platform.

Thirdly, it was recently reported by Hollywood Life that Kanye was planning to sue The Pirate Bay for hosting his new album. This was never confirmed, but if true, now might be a good time for Kanye to back down.

Then again, maybe it's all just part of the plan. There's a theory that Yeezy's controversial public persona is all one big joke. It's times like this that we really hope that's the case.

lol That is rich.. another famous hypocrite. I am a singer myself, and would I prefer everyone buy my music. Well, yeah... but I'd rather have people listen to it for free than not at all.

I think people take themselves way too seriously. I would think that people downloading stuff for free would be good advertising... because they wouldn't have bought it to start with, and maybe if they like it and it's not trash they would recommend it to other people, and maybe if they find it good they will actually shell out the money for a legit copy! :)

But I'm a contrarian anyway.. and I can't stand Kanye, so I love seeing him embarrassed. lol Don't mind me... just a disgruntled Swiftie here. Also, I can't stand arrogance.
