RESOURCE GUIDE: What does Nulled mean and consequences
Silly, simple question gals and guys
and probably others are thinking the same so thought of a thread to help everyone out

trying to understand what Nulled means and the ramifications

from what i'm guessing, is it plugin that has been deregistered
so producer doesnt know about it?
a workaround licensing?

why do it for an agency license which anyone can use?

what's the consequence of a nulled plugin vs bought one?
(aside from paying for it)
- is it performance lag issues?
- can nulled plugin be updated?
- once nulled plugin is installed - and happy with it so want to pay for it - can a paid one still work (since nulled already installed)?

Would appreciate feedback from those in the know
especially people who actually NULL themselves

thanks

RE:
In my experience, "nulled" means someone has gone into the php code of a theme or plugin and nullified the particular code that checks for a license such that anyone can now use the product. If all goes well, you should have full use. But you probably won't be able to update it, and there may be bugs as a result of having tampered with the code.

RE:
It all comes down to trusting who "nulled" the plugin or script in question. There are many well known nullers out there who do legit work but on the flip side there are people who will null a script and put in backdoors or just do a bad job at it.

Always trust your nuller!
