If you run on a sub domain or sub folder you will find it will not install..

install in the root folder then transfer it into the sub folder. and change the baseurl in application/config/config.php

For the life of me, I can't get it working.

Installed on subdomain and Root sites and still the same error.

After login the progress bar goes up to about 85% and then spits out "an error has occoured!" dialog box.

Has anybody else got it working with success?

Have you changed the base url in config folder?

Yup, tried that... and used firebug to to check if the base url was correct when left blank.

make sure your baseurl is $config['base_url'] = 'http://url.com/';

I have tried that with trailing slash and everything.... still no luck.

Everything installs perfectly, just when I try login, it doesn't get past the 100% preload to take me to the admin dashboard.
Shows the "an error has occoured!" dialog box.

Ok... I fixed the problem.

under system/libraries/session.php
There are a few lines of code
