Where to use an old pc?
Sup guys , I have an old pc Intel atom 1.6ghz 1mb/s cpu, intel hd4000 gpu, 1gbram(can be upgraded to 2), 350gb hdd. Also High speed internet download and upload about 60mb/s. Do you have idea what to do? I have some
Media centre Cloud. Guys need your ideas ;) explaning why would be so usefull! |

You could turn it into a Bitcoin ATM....
You could run some automated trading software on it... Cryptocurrencies or other assets. You could as well run a bot for some online game with the goal of farming and trading for money.. ;) All of them to try to generate some cash off course... |

Even better, turn it into a linux /ubunto box, learn some unix, easiest $50 -100 per hour you will ever make when you know the system.

The answer is both simple and complex. Simple first. You will have heard of "the cloud". Guess what 90% of the infrastructure eg: storage, and 90% of the myriad of connectivity devices run on? *nix, in all it's varieties. Most of the net runs on it. Demand for unix skills is all time high, big and getting bigger daily. Most of it not advertised, you have to just ask. They figure, if people too dumb to do that, they don't want them anyway. Now here's the _complex_ part. The corporates who hire your fledgling small business for large amounts of $ to fix things, expect you to know more than just your way around a microsoft GUI. Things like IP addressing, scripts, some PHP, routing (CCNA is great start); security, remote access and maybe a few VM products too. Enough to show you can handle their problems. Start with smaller clients wanting to save money changing from MS products. Provide real service and get real pay, not IM BS or even sadder, endless WSO garbage. Worked for me, year one was $100k, double that year two. Then it really took off.
