[IDEA] Better Group Buys
Hey I had this idea for a new type of group buy, let's call it Cascade Buy, it works like this:
1. A [Cascade buy] is posted, the price is 10% of the products sale price and available to the first 10 people that join, the rest go in a queue 2. The product is bought say at $1000 and provided for the first 10 at $100 each and supplied to them 3. The Cascade buy price is now reduced to $90 for the next 10 buyers (total $900) 4. The person that organizes the Cascade buy shares the $900 between the 1st 10 buyers and opens it up for the next 10 buyers 5. The Cascade buy price is now reduced to $80 for the next 10 buyers (total $800) 6. The person that organizes the Cascade buy shares the $800 between the 2nd 10 buyers and opens it up for the next 10 buyers and so on until as the table below shows the price is $10 After that it is allowed to be shared IF it is a shareable product i.e. a download The benefit of this is that the Early Adopters get the product sooner and as time goes by the product gets cheaper The person that organized the Cascase buy does not pay for the product but has to commit to managing the payments, doing uploads and managing the rebates All links are provided via PM to members of this forum only and passworded with the usual password. The rebate is simple because you can refund part of the money within paypal All paypal sending of money must be to a friend I considered making it 95% for the early adopters but 10% is so easy. Let me know what you think. If you like the idea we can run it buy the owner of the forum and perhaps have a special section for it, perhaps the organizer pays the forum 5% of the product price from the proceeds of the 1st 10? Obviously it requires a lot of trust so organizers could be limited to VIP Members or something. I am also keen that buyers have an option to pay by Fiverr so they can remain anonymous, the orgianizer would have to put a $5 marketing service on fiver with an upsell to the make up the difference plus the extra cost of Fiverr. |
