Nope, PLF3 was last year story ... if not older !! (fuzzy memory)
PLF3 was definitely great stuff, I learned a ton of things and Jeff is a good teacher,
so highly recommended course.
His new baby is PLF4 (not 3!) ... it's all over his promo mails if you care to check your inbox.
Personally looking foreword for the PLF4 share on my favorite forum ;)
I see PLF4 cart will close on Friday Sept20 midnight Pacific time, but expect
a 24 hour re-open 1 day later (or next Monday maybe)
... because that's what Jeff teaches us to do in PLF3 for a surge of sales ... good ol' scarcity!!
Since the PLF4 pre-checkup teaser videos are so humongous,
I'm expecting a humongous share,
mostly because he's releasing super-duper-high-resolution videos ...
which in my opinion aren't really necessary for his type of information (this isn't an IMAX
feature movie, just a guy talking in front of a whiteboard):
the same information he's teaching can be shared in much lower resolution videos,
and it'll be SO MUCH faster to upload and download ... (hint, hint !!)
Probably the super-duper-high-rez is just a way to justify the high price tag (wild guess).
But I like to consider that also as fluff, it doesn't really give us more useful information.
So ideally the uploader could lower that share a notch and shrink the resulting video
Just in case you're wondering, here's an example of how that is done using ffmpeg.
This command "radically" shrinks videos,
but they remain usable and all the important infos are preserved.
The video files are just 50% (or more!!) smaller:
(you might want to use actual filenames instead of "jeff1.mp4" and tweak to taste)
ffmpeg -i jeff1.mp4 -f mp4 -vcodec mpeg4 -s 608x256 -b 512k -ab 128k -ac 1 -acodec mp2 jeff1_OUT.avi
