Seems that several people did not receive my
email about the v3.0 update for Mobi-Fire Creator
last Monday. So I'm resending it again.
I apologize if you did get the first one and
are receiving this duplicate message.

(Quoted from last week's email)
-------------------------------
Hey just wanted to send you an email to
give you a heads up on whats going on with the
v3.0 update for Mobi-Fire Creator.
As you may know almost all of the ad network's
have had an SDK update. I suppose to accommodate
the new changes in the GPS new ad policies.
Yes, even Admob themselves has a new update!
Basically what this means is that I had to
add the new java libraries to each and every
template and then recompile each template editor.
The update was supposed to go out tomorrow (the 15th)
but I'm afraid it isn't going to make it on time.
There are two reasons for the delay. Let me quickly
go over both.
1) We had just gotten the new Airpush templates in
the last update and then shortly there after GPS
makes the changes to their ad policies.
Of course Airpush was gracious enough to handle the
transition over for published apps automatically.
But this new change at GPS really made their fill rates
hit almost rock bottom.
So Airpush began working on new ad types that would
help alleviate this problem. But doing so meant that
a) they would have to get GPS approval that the new
ad types were acceptable and B) a new SDK would have
to be developed.
They did get approval from GPS on these new ad types
and began rolling them out in beta to select publishers.
After a couple weeks testing they released the first
official AirPlay 1.0 SDK which incorporated the new
ad types that were GPS approved.
But here is the kicker...
Now with this new SDK all java libraries are personalized
for each Airpush app publisher. So unlike the previous
SDK I couldn't include a generic SDK library in the templates.
So it was back to coding for me to find a solution to
this problem. And of course this caused the first delay
in the v3.0 update.
Then we have the #2 reason for the delay...blackhatters.
I guess it's a good sign that you have a good product
when you see your products being shared on the blackhat file
sharing sites.
Which while is somewhat of a compliment to me that Mobi-Fire
Creator is a program people deemed worthy of sharing illegally
I didn't particularly care for this type of flattery.
But even Bill Gates made the comment that software piracy was
a "necessary evil" that helped Windows 3.1 become a huge success.
What really got me was I found out that these blackhatters
were not only sharing the program but also selling it as well.
They have been setting up group buys and membership sites adding
my programs as well as some others into the download area of these
illegal sites.
So I began working on a new licensing program that would stop
all of this from happening.
It took a while but the developer of the licensing system
finally got a beta out for me to try last week and I've been
testing the dog snot (pardon my French) out of it to make
sure it works properly.
Add to that I have to integrate it to the new membership site I'm
just about ready to launch as well. Which this was planned anyway
so I can't blame the blackhatters for that - just the illegal
sales and profiting from my program.
Anyway, I'd like to promise all of this would be done by this
coming Friday (the 18th) but I seriously doubt that will happen.
A more realistic goal that allows me I hope ample testing
time would be the Friday thereafter (the 25th).
I know you've waited a while for this update but if you're
anything like me you would like for it to work and not be
full of bugs - right?
So even though this might upset some of you, the new v3.0 update
scheduled for tomorrow is delayed and the new tentative date
is Friday the 25th. The wait will be worth it - trust me.
Have a blessed and prosperous rest of the week,
