Roo Heatmap generates a click heatmap for your site. Roo Heatmap shows you what’s hot and what’s not, so you can make changes that increase conversion. You will see your first results in real time.

A heatmap is an easy way to understand what users do on your site.
It’s a visual representation showing you where users click and what they do.

The heatmap has click and/or time limit for results, depending on your server features and your traffic amount. You are able to generate heatmaps for any page from your site.

High traffic web sites should keep an eye on site speed, as each click calls an internal AJAX library and writes an entry to the database. The library is cached, so accessing the file should have zero impact on the site’s behaviour. There is a 0.05% delay, unnoticeable though.

Features
  • Everything is automated
  • Include/exclude IP addresses
  • Quick today/yesterday/all time statistics
  • Generate heatmap for any page from your site
  • Seamless integration WordPress styles
Recommendations
  • Use a cycle of clicks no longer than 6 months (180 days).
  • Delete clicks (reset plugin) when you redesign or change the theme
(or change the default width) as previous clicks will no longer match
the site and will confuse you.
  • Use no more than 500.000 clicks. You should get an idea about user behaviour between 50.000 and 100.000 clicks.
  • Keep an eye on CPU/memory statistics and see if the plugin requires too many resources.
  • Use 100% (percentage of) clicks you want to be
counted. Use 75% or 50% for really high traffic web sites, as you will
get a general idea about user behaviour.
Installation
  • Upload the roo-heatmap folder to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  • Activate the plugin via the Plugins menu in WordPress
  • Set up your site appearance (left/center/right/responsive) and content width
  • Wait for clicks!
