Yes, Aquaponics can be used for cannabis. I read a story on a guy from Hawaii that had a massive 6 or 8 big tanks with fish that fed his best plants. and they were "killer" if you know what I mean.
The set up isn't cheap, but the rewards are great if you have patience.
At $3000. a pound you could make your investment back and also have fish to eat later.
