Though I am new to the forum, I am into internet marketing for last 4 years.
My main business comes from social media sites and recurring clients who pay me money for the Facebook apps and
fanpages I manage for their business.
Apart from this I have a few affiliate sites which bring me some good commissions :)
Enough of my Rant, here is one of the best way to get decent reviews from customers for your kindle books.

These are people who are actually looking for items to review.... You will defintely not get the top 10 people to review your product... unless your product is worth a thousand bucks and you're give it to them for free..... but the people down the list? their aim is to be in the top ten.. and the only way they can do that is by reviewing as much as possible.....
Click on any person, READ his about me section and what he/she likes to read and review... if their intersts are common with your book, contact them, offer them a freebie and ask them for a review....
5-10 Good revews can catapult your kindle to the top of the world ;)
Then its just a matter of time for you to skyrocket your earnings.
