The idea is simple.
Use Google Voice to get vanity numbers in various local areas and sell / lease those numbers to local businesses.
I personally have (xxx) - 867-5309 and you won't believe how many people call looking for Jenny
This has been around for some time and is a great way to get your foot in the door of a business that needs mobile sites or social networking/marketing services. Give them the phone number for $1 if they buy a 3 page mobile site from you for $399. Bet that is where this person snagged it from.
But d*** good share that will get the juices flowing for those who put their brain in gear.
Wouldn't they see that this number came from Google and that they could have done it free or very cheap and you just charged them xx - xxx?

yea, it's not a new concept, but the technique is fairly new and very cheap to impliment. my thoughts exactly in getting the juices flowing and how profitable it could be. i got my own vanity # a couple years ago but never thought about the possibilities....especially with my offline clients i have.
Can this work in non-US countries, like Africa???
