Recently downloaded and installed Kallyas 2.4 from fwpthemes.com for testing purposes and I need to remove the copyright footer for advertising at the very bottom of the site. Is there any way I can do that without having to pay for a license?

You should be able to go into the themes editor in your dashboard and edit footer.php or you can edit it in the Open Source program Notepad ++ then FTP it up to your themes folder.
