I have custom developed java code that we use to connect to put linux based pmta server that has 52 ip addresses configured for sending. I of course have fqdn's and ptr records for all of my sending ip's and my java app can connect to multiple ips, however I like to start using the rotattion feature of pmta with it's vmta feature.
my question is this - how do I connect to a vmta instead of a sending ip address on the pmta box. Do I give that vmta a domain name that's assigned to a certain ip and try connecting from my java app to a name instead of an ip address?
thanks in advance.
Hi All,
I found a great tool which can generate PMTA config file and cpanel accounts automatically. It is really awesome.

Well to chime in over the retards that have all posted bullshit not relating to your question...
You set up the vmta stuff on the backend with the config and as long as you setup a pattern list for the mail-from pmta will know which vmta to send from. You can set up pmta to rotate ips or vmta's (you do the vmta's by setting up a vmta-pool in the pmta config).
I hope this helps set you in the right direction. Do disregard these other idiots, who gladly chimed in to peddle their bullshit but not answer your question.
