Anyone else have issue saving and importing options in Theme settings on WP 3.5.1?

Is anyone else able to get their sites to look just like the demos?
I have tried installing both OTO themes on two diff sites, followed all instructions to the T, and yet it seems I can only get a few parts to look like the demos (just the home page sliders, the top contact info and the footer info)

I still have to customize the rest of the whole shibang...this is stupid!!!

The problem with not buying this is that there has been 9 updates since the original so downloading this now is worthless. Plus for those having trouble setting this up the way of the demos you don't have the xml content that sets it up for you.
