It was worth the read!
It all boils down to having the balls to ask for all your costs and then some upfront - and not showing any need for the money in the process.

Or how Frank Kern said it: You get what you you are able to ask for without getting a fat grin on your face.

It also helps to host the online assets on your own server - so non-paid bills result in switched off lead generation pages - or exchanged pages, where the payment status is openly showed (Nobody wants payment delays to be publicly readable).
