save
the file and upload all files to your server. You then need to first
create a database in your cpanel and user with full permissions etc..
and save your username and password somewhere. Also do not create any
tables within this database.

Go to your install dir, and when
asked for the product code click the check button, it should validate,
continue with the installation and enter your database details when
asked, again connection should be successful. Make sure that your “files
folder” permissions are set to 777 recursively, and your
application\config\database.php file is writeable “777″.

first, I want to thank you for the upload. But secondly once its past everything but the last part of the installation, it says "error while saving settings to database"

because there is a part in the installation file that call an xml file, it will get the "creation" of the core database.

without it, you will receive error.
