i never knew that. thanks for pointing out... i'll exclude sendmyway in my next share.

most of the time, i only use get.it or bayfiles. both work great for me.


EDIT: just tried sendmyway first time. downloaded the file in 30 secs. it seems not difficult to me... jz make sure to untick "Download with SendMyWay download manager and accelerator." option when you download the file. hmm...

Thanks for noticing my post. The SendMyWay thing is indeed strange - most of the time it is fine but there are times when I get the d*** .exe file even with the download accelerator option unchecked. If other members notice this, please chime in. Good fortune to all and thanks again Model for all the awesome shares and good humor!

For some reason it shows as abx.zip from the download, but when I upload and choose file for Virustotal it comes up as "abx.zip.exe".

"SendMyWay" is the culprit, not your fault. Even if you uncheck the download helper option sometimes it still gives you the .exe file. This has happened to me several times and I have noticed numerous members recently posting about it and getting scolded for being newbies. Again, it is a SendMyWay glitch (maybe on purpose by the site programmer?) and in most cases probably not the fault of the person doing the clicking.

'maybe' as in maybe they keep track of our IP addresses

Yah, I haven't found that on G either yet ... I have had REQ for other amazon stuff with no luck
