I'm surprised there's so much threads on getting old Photoshop version when you can get CS6 really easily.
Here's how:
P.S. This is actually my first thread. I don't know if it's okay to put it here because it's a little bit like a tutorial, so feel free to move it if you want.
[hide]1. Download the product you want from Adobe (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, whatever).
2. Once you downloaded the product, install the trial version.
3. After installing it, don't open the program yet. Go on Google and search for "[whatever product] cs6 amtlib.dll download". So for example if I was searching for Photoshop CS6 I'd search "photoshop cs6 amtlib.dll download". If you have a 64bits Windows, just make sure that the amtlib.dll corresponds to the version you installed (so don't download the 32bits version if you installed the 64bits one). I usually download mine from a site called "https://sites.google.com/site/tech4revolution/". Not my site.
4. If you downloaded a zip version, extract its content.
5. Move the file over to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\yourproduct\" and/or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\yourproduct\". Before copying make sure there is already a file named amtlib.dll in that folder (because with my Illustrator it's in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64 Bit)\Support Files\Contents\Windows". I don't know, maybe because I opened the program before replacing the amtlib.dll file). Replace the file by the one you just downloaded.
6. Enjoy your free Adobe product
IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE. Download the update directly from the adobe website, then update manually. If something's wrong just replace the amtlib.dll file over again.
Make sure you put the amtlib.dll file in ALL the folders where you have one. That includes Bridge, Media Encoder, etc.
FYI: If you don't know this Adobe trick then you probably don't know that most popular program can be downloaded from free. Just torrent it from ThePirateBay.
Have a good day.
