Basically from 1pm-9pm they are charging 33% more for some b*llshit, made-up reason - yeah, I said it. They said it's to add more "support" for those times... but let's face it... it's BS. I KNOW... I've worked in IT for 20 years. The midnight helpdesk people are usually people with less experience trying to gain experience. They generally don't get paid anymore that the daytime workers and their job is usually much easier because, despite the fact that it's night - there is still ALOT less traffic than daytime.
I didn't realize this until I say my balance at 0 and I couldn't believe it... then went to order moreand BOOM... there's there lies plastered on the order screen. That's for the heads up guys... I appreciate you stealing my money!
So now, instead of $13.80 for 10K captcha's... it's $18.49 ... I think at that price they are overpriced.
So what's a good replacement?
Hi,
I'm a Customer Rep. from Death By Captcha and I understand and value your feedback.
We were really concerned about applying the Nighshift Worker Compensation because it would probably mean additional expenses for our loyal clients. However, we were left without choice when we realized that we were actually losing money on several hours of the day, and even then, there wasn't enough workers online to take care of the overload.
For years, we have paid our Nighshift Workers much more than the average, sacrificing monetary gain over improved quality of our service.
Please note that night time for our workers is actually peak hours for us. As stated in our website, most of our captcha typers live in countries that have a time difference of 8 to 12 hours from most of our DeathByCaptcha clients. This means, that while its the afternoon in United States, its the middle of the night in India and Pakistan.
Unlike our competitors, we want to face the problem heads on and avoid all of the scammy practices related to bidding systems. But, we're just not able to do so without paying our workers more on certain hours.
We understand that high captcha solving costs are a pain for our customers. That's why the additional fee is only running during a few hours of the day. All the other hours will have the regular standard rate (you can always check on our Server Time, GMT-4 by logging to our website with your credentials).
As for the current service status, we're now reducing overload times to the minimum (they will be gradually eradicated) and the service is up and running fine, with current average solve times of 10-11 seconds. If you're not getting satisfactory results, please PM your DBC username and I'll look into it.
