That is illegal (at least in the US) and is not CAN-SPAM compliant. Just because they became friends with you on LinkedIn, Facebook, or anywhere else, does not give you the right to just start emailing them!

Spamming is R*******.. just send traffic to good squeeze pages.. oh wait, I guess getting traffic is hard???
