This sounds awesome and I'd love to give it a go.
Honestly, I'm a writer myself and writing 1000 articles won't be that hard to do. If you write quality content, YOUR ARTICLES WILL RANK. Google's whole system is just based around how well can you answer the search query question of your keyword. (If you type in 'best dog collars' in google, if you provide the best quality answer you get ranked better.)
