Section4: Use youtube. Simple Simon merely "borrowed" instructions from a number of free youtube vids and turned it into this steamer. There are more advanced settings that are covered in a plethora of YT vids. Search "handbrake settings" or "handbrake compress" and it should see you through.
He mentioned in the pdf about freeware video converter from iWisoft but we can't use to its full potential unless we pay for it. There is an alternative that I've used until now its called Format Factory its free software that you can download here.

I thought that using Handbrake was common knowledge, should have made a WSO myself.
The video describing the 'tweaks' is here.

But even then they are not the best settings to use. The recommended settings are:
Click Handbrake>Preferences>General>untick bottom box (Use Auto Naming) then exit.
Select MP4 format, Click Web Optimized tab
Click Audio and select 128
Click Advanced and select Ref Frames 4
Click Video and select Bit Rate Avg and select 800 (600 for screen capture)
Select 2 pass then destination
That's it.
This is as simple as it gets.
Step 1
Don't download the WSO
Step 2
Download
Handbrake and load your video
Step 3
Under Audio, lower your bitrate to 128, lower if you want to cut even more space
Step 4
Under Advanced, set Reference Frames to 4
Step 5
Thank me cause I just saved 15 mins of your time
The only problem with Handbrake is you can't one click convert a ton of videos. You gotta do it 1 by 1. I think there's a better software for bulk conversion. It's FormatFactory.
I kind of figured this software was too good to be true, and I guess I was right. I followed the specs in the manual to a tee, but all three videos I compressed came out quite a bit larger than my original video. For example I had a video that was 90.6MB, after compression it was 171MB, another was 197MB and then after using HandBrake it was 269MB! If someone could tell me what if anything I did wrong I'd appreciate it as I have never compressed videos before.

Actually not true... Handbrake has a Queue system that uses the settings from the first video and will do a whole run no problems.
