rebuilt and updated with the release of v2.0, with separate, ground-up LUTs for each Apple Log format — including:
✅ Apple Log 1
✅ Apple Log 2
✅ Apple Log 2 in ProRes RAW.
This matters, because Apple Log 2 recorded in ProRes RAW is not the same as Apple Log 2 recorded in ProRes or HEVC!
Treating them as interchangeable — as most LUTs do — leads to desaturated colour, skewed skin tones, and inconsistent contrast. GLOAT v2.0 avoids this entirely by using dedicated LUTs tuned specifically for each format, rather than a one-size-fits-all conversion.
Built specifically for Apple Log workflows on iPhone, GLOAT LUT transforms flat log footage into a balanced, cinematic Rec.709 image in a single step. It delivers exceptional, natural-looking skin tones that glow, smooth highlight roll-off, accurate colour separation, and a refined film-style contrast curve — without crushing blacks, clipping highlights, or overcooking saturation.
Unlike other LUTs for Apple Log or Apple’s default Rec.709 conversion, GLOAT v2.0 is carefully tuned to preserve middle-grey and colour accuracy across all supported Apple Log formats. The result is footage with the depth and polish of a cinema camera, while remaining clean, controlled, and flexible for further grading if needed.
In short: Apple Log in → film look and Rec.709 conversion out.
GLOAT v2.0 is the antidote to Apple’s overly saturated, digital iPhone look — and the fastest, most reliable way to make Apple Log 1, Apple Log 2, and Apple Log 2 ProRes RAW footage look incredible, instantly.
