I'll take a good look at this. Thx for sharing. +++++ added.
I will look at it but Groupon is crap even for Restaurants.
Groupon requires a 50% percent discount off list price
Then they take @ 50% commisson..
Ex.
Retail: $100
Groupon: $50 sale (50%)
Groupon: $25 commission (50% of sale price)
Seller: Net: $25 (50% of sale price)

F&^** robbery.....

Jus sayin...

Any chance of this being re-loaded? I'm actually just starting a group on project and I am very curious if this has any useful information in it.
Would love to get it too! Cheers.

Yea,I used to work for window cleaning business and I remember the owner bragging to us how much he made with his groupon deal. I think He sold around 20 grand worth of 10 and 20 dollar deals.. his dumb ass really thought that was all profit! LoL!

Before groupon he had 1 truck 3 employees ( Him and his 3 teenage sons ). He had to buy 3 more trucks and hire 6 more employees (me included ) after he ran the deal.

His big mistake was not putting a limit on his travel area and ended up losing his ass on fuel expenses alone.. Gas at the time was pushing 4 bucks a gallon! and all of his trucks were 8 cylinder gas guzzlers!

Most offline businesses lose money with groupon because ..

1. They have no back end set up.

2. Even if the do have a back end .. Groupon customers are the cheapest s.o.b.'s on the planet, most of them just want the deal and don't spend any extra money.

I know this from first hand experience :)
The million dollar question is what would make for a better Groupon style business? I'm going to give it a shot.
thanks for the share :)
