I’ve been thinking about something that could really benefit this forum long-term, and I’d like to hear what everyone thinks.
What if we created a dedicated group under the Freebies section titled “Cybersecurity” — or possibly “Cybersecurity/AI” — where members could share free resources like books, courses, and tools related to these fields?
Here’s the reasoning behind it:
1. It aligns with the forum’s core mission — making money.
Cybersecurity is one of the most in-demand, high-growth industries right now. Giving people access to free resources could help them break into a field that offers real income potential, whether that’s through jobs, freelancing, consulting, or even launching digital products.
2. It builds value and skill within the community.
As more members level up their knowledge, they’ll be able to bring even more resources back to the group — from courses and eBooks to walkthroughs and how-to guides. It becomes a self-reinforcing loop of contribution.
3. It protects the community itself.
Over time, we could have members skilled enough to help defend the forum infrastructure, report vulnerabilities, and contribute technical know-how to keep things secure from outside attacks.
4. Cybersecurity and AI are the future.
Combining the two under one group could open doors for discussion, collaboration, and learning in two areas that are rapidly shaping every major industry. We’re seeing more crossover between the two every day — why not tap into that early?
I genuinely think this could add long-term value to the forum and give members access to skills that go far beyond the typical “freebie” exchange. But I don’t want to speak for everyone.
What do you all think?
Would this be a useful addition to the forum? Would you participate or contribute? Should we vote on it?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
