xrumer always check for connectivity with its server. so it will happen.
I also have shutdown issues, but other than that it is working great!

Guys do some google search on how xrumer works. why xrumer server would provide you proxy for free if you dont have legit license?
a dumb guy installed xrumer on wmware and tried to sell vmware image for $10 , But Now Its Free.
I use my own proxy source...it says connection error anyhow so thats not the issue, the issue is somewhere within the software.
