I moved into an old house that had been abandoned for years. Everything was fine until I noticed the strange, childlike drawings appearing on the walls overnight—stick figures, smiling faces, houses with crooked doors. I thought it was neighborhood kids sneaking in until I woke up one morning to find a drawing of myself in bed, sleeping, with the words "I'm watching" written underneath.

We bought an old mirror from an antique shop to hang in our hallway. At night, when the house was dark, I started seeing things move in its reflection. I tried telling myself it was just my imagination, until one night, as I walked past it, I saw a figure standing behind me in the glass. I spun around—there was no one there, but the figure stayed, smiling at me.
