@All readers: I came back here to post a confirmation that this method is working exactly as described in the original post. If you read and follow GalaxyQuest's instructions, you cannot go wrong.
As you can see by the image below, I'm in my new account and the first (introductory) video has started. There is a remarkable amount of valuable content to go through and I am looking forward to diving in!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I see it mentioned that some readers had a bit of difficulty applying the discount code.
That was NOT my experience and I can recommend you do it this way:
Copy the red-lettered code as provided in the original post then paste that into the text field on the enrollment form. Be sure to grab only the red-letter text and not the 'quote marks' on each side of the text. Typing it in from scratch is also not advised.
As described in the post, you can find the input field to paste the code after you click the HAVE A COUPON link that's on the lower left side of the enrollment form. Put the code in and click the APPLY button to see the $97 price discounted to $0.
I took the time to explain this because I use Google Chrome and did not have a problem applying the discount code.
