Hello,

What are the repeated events every month or year where the market fluctuates too much, and market velocity is too high?

I know one, which is the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). It happens once a month.

The BIG RED flags on the news announcements are the ones that affect the most currencies.

PS: The most important news item for trading is the Non-Farm Payroll announcement - usually on the first Friday of the month (unless a holiday). I've traded the last 400 first-Friday's of the month in the Forex (Foreign Exchange markets / CME futures), and have profited on 398 of them.

Additional explanation: When you consider that 100% of all major manufacturers, sovereign governments, central banks, hedge funds --- are already invested and watching that announcement to see if they are still correctly positioned -- AND ALL of the losers who manage their positions poorly; if you have any risk managing ability you can almost always profit taking advantage of the 90% who ultimately get it wrong.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
