I have a lot of websites and know a few things about websites. I previously worked for Google, Microsoft, Ocado, Boehringer, Roche and many others as Head of Marketing or Director positions within the industry and I have also 20 years of experience in Marketing.

It seems a lot of you over time struggle to monetise your sites or even earn from them.

Example - 2 websites I recently launched.
- 2 totally different niches
- 5000 products on each
- both on Google News on e-commerce websites (that is a challenge in itself being e-commerce) after 2 days
- Making healthy profits from day 1 of launch.

What type of website do you have?

SEO,website design and web development services website I have.

The problem you have is it's a saturated market. You need to either think outside the box and offer something someone hasn't done.

1, Go Local rather than national or worldwide. (Example - SEO or Web design services in York) I wouldn't say London as it's a large competitive city as you are in competition against the larger marketing agencies. Start small grow big!

2, Offer a service no one is doing. Whether it's a plugin, new concept, or new bespoke tool, that will draw attention to your services.

- Look at Backlinks as a service but niche-related
- If you can, promote Google News Publication
- Merchant Feed Service - Optimised for SEO? (I do not know anyone doing this)
- Optimise Dev for Page speed or create SEO Dashboard Insights maybe?

3, Brand awareness. Use backlinks, directories (local) and nationwide. Also look at services such as Fiverr, Legiit, and SEO clerks to promote your services and build on them.

A highly competitive niche, it's just thinking outside the box and saying to yourself, what can I do that others are not at the moment?
