Hope you’re doing well Gordon!

Theo

Hi Theo1

Good to hear from you.

Yes, I am doing great. Been doing a bit of the "Van Life" experience now that we have StarLink in Australia. Working my way around the perimeter of this giant island/continent.

Not long ago I spent 3 weeks on a beach that I never saw another human the entire time. With Solar Power and Starlink, you can get way off the beaten path and still have decent Internet access... I love it.

I call it "Connected Solitude".

I know technology will continue to move forward, but for now I just feel so grateful that I live in a time and place that allows me to have access to all this stuff and enjoy it.

Wishing you the best.

Cheers,

G.S.

To All

For those of you that are doing the Russell Brunson books, I would like to suggest to you that AFTER you read all the books and have a clear understanding of the materials, go to this thread:

In Post #13, I share the video files and the PDF files. The program is all about writing Offers.

Some people like Perry Belcher and some people don't. But what he is teaching is powerful stuff.

When you are doing the Brunson stuff, building funnels and such, being able to write a killer offer for either list building or selling something is key.

Everything in Digital Marketing is either about, Building your audience, nurturing your audience, or selling to your audience. And for all of those, being able to write offers (even in the nurture stage when you are selling ideas to your audience) is super important.

It was John E. Kennedy who first defined Copywriting as “salesmanship-in-print”. While this is very true, today I think of it more in terms of "Influence-in-print".

For me, Copywriting is not about getting people to buy stuff they don't want or need, it is about helping them make an informed decision on what my product or service can offer them as a solution to an issue they have.

Again, this goes back to good Offers... which is a core component of Copywriting.

Remember we said that Copywriting is Salesmanship/Influence in Print.... But if you expand upon that and have developed the core understanding, you can branch out and use this in almost all areas of your life.

At work, with friends, family.... No kidding. For most all human interactions, having the ability to Influence others around you will level up both your life and theirs. Sure you can use it for both good or bad, but using Influence to gain what you want at the expense of others has a way of coming back to bite you in the backside, so much better to use your skills in a way that is good for all.

Mmmmmm, got you thinking right? Well, I hope so anyway.

I have said so many times on this site in some many posts that Copywriting is the most valuable skill to learn. And now you know that it is all about Influence.

So the more you study it (Copywriting) and human nature, the more powerful your skills become. And with that skill you can obtain what you want in life and do what you want to do.

When you have the ability to Influence others, you will never be without work if you want it, can always make a good living, and doors of opportunity are open to you in some many different ways.

Cheers,

G.S.
Great share... GREAT COMMENTS .... Many THANKS TO ALL...
Hey Gordon!

Glad to hear you're doing well. I couldn't imagine going anywhere and not seeing people for 3 weeks! Well, maybe I CAN "IMAGINE" it, but I certainly have never done that in all my ripened years here kicking around this rock. In any case, it sounds very rejuvenating to me, but of course the REAL "diet" would be no electronics of any kind for 3 weeks- To quote the perennial Peter Pan Tom Cruise- "Mission Impossible!" Speaking of Cruise, the last time we went on a week-long cruise, pre-COVID, we had 3 days straight where there was limited to no Internet access- Everybody on the ship commented about how nice it actually was to be disconnected- Not TRULY disconnected I guess because there were still plenty of people with their faces glued to the glass playing Solitaire or Toon Blast or whatever and barely looking up at the spectacular majesty of "They" Nature- (I THINK) that's the pronoun the former Mother Nature is now using...But I digress...

You said: "When you stay focused on a core set of skills you want to develop and repeat the best parts of the teaching material, it ingrains a deeper understanding of it and often (at least for me) sparks new ideas on the best way to use it."

You are absolutely right and I think as we've discussed before, the reality is that it is becoming increasingly harder and harder for people to maintain their focus on ANYTHING- Our brains have truly been reprogrammed to desperately seek out constant Dopamine, and everybody walks around in a constant Dopamine withdrawal state- The problem with this? It destroys our ability to delay ANY KIND of gratification- And without delayed gratification, well, there is no way any business can be created or built- Heck, there's probably almost no way a business can even be CONCEIVED of, due to a lack of ability to get into the meditative, creative and ponderous state we all need to come up with new, fresh ideas, or at least a valuable, novel synthesis of everything that has come before-

Also based on what you said, a quote from Tony Robbins pops in my mind for SOME reason?

"Knowledge isn't power- Knowledge is POTENTIAL power-"

We've probably talked about this many times as well, but just because we have the ILLUSION of knowing something, due to merely being EXPOSED to some information, DOES NOT MEAN we actually KNOW the Information- I KNOW you KNOW what I'm talking about-

Ok just a few thoughts off the top of my head- And, of course, I'm not going to leave anybody hanging here- I have a fantastic share here to reward everyone who has been fortunate enough to stumble upon our thread here- It goes greatly in line with everything that Gordon has been saying about the arguably most highly valuable skill on the planet- Copywriting and, more generally- Persuasion-

I have a funny feeling you're going to LOVE this share- I did share something similar on another "hidden" thread, but let's just keep this share our little secret- Between us? ;^) Enjoy!

Yo Theo.

Nice share!

I downloaded the files, unzipped them and started reading. Just completed the first one "OM-Ring1-Study9-Part1-2.pdf".

Honestly, for the first 9 pages I was kinda like "Why did Theo send us this and who cares about the history of Alladin?"

Then page 10 and,
SMACK

Like getting hit right in the kisser with a Big Wet Fish!

WOW, the meat and potatoes started being shovelled at me in prodigious amounts.

Some great insights and wisdom into how the human mind works and how the concepts were weaved into a story from so long ago.

Truly amazing stuff. And stuff that if you incorporate in to your own set of tools and writing skills will for sure make your message more powerful.

Great add-on to what has already been shared in this thread.

Very much appreciated.

Cheers,

G.S.
Just one word for you Gordon- LOL! (If that's even a word?)

I'm glad you got something out of the share- You know I value everyone's time so the shares I put up are ones that I feel are the best "bang for the buck" so to speak- That's why I've always been a big fan of all of the Nerd reports, they save A LOT of time, although when it comes to Dan Kennedy at least I've gone through some of his courses multiple times and use the Nerd notes as a refresher-

But these reports here like the Aladdin one, well, I've just never seen any other marketing courses quite like it- The other one I put in there about the lessons of the greatest salesmen I also think is a good recap of the best of the best from history-

So again, thank you for the great laugh- Nothing like a huge wet fish to the kisser!

Have a good one!

Theo
