So why care ??
1 word says it all=> PRIVACY
If you are at all concerned with the power which the big G exerts via ALL uses of it - then you may not wish for that spying monster to know EXACTLY what you are doing and/or sharing via VT and knowing your IP address along with whatever other info they can easily collect covertly (especially if ANY account at all is logged in at that device...).
Personally, I totally disdain any form of having G looking into my life (or up my a$$) just because it is simply too vastly powerful and sneaky.
Moving forward I am now only using Jotti (https://jotti.org/) and maybe some other folks here are also wanting to get as de-googled as possible and find that as a good alternative.
