Some of These Downloaders Handle
Documents On Other Platforms, Too!

I've written a post before about Scribd and how to grab links from their DOCUMENTS category without having a registered account. You can then go to a Scribd downloader app and plug in the link to get the download.

Well, I'm back again to say, here lately, the Scribd downloader I recommended (scribddown.com) has started to "act out" and refuses to work for me anymore.

I tried to look into the issue but got more confusing intel than helpful advice online. It has something to do with a missing dll file and the CAPTCHA puzzle doesn't load. I tried multiple browsers. I even temporarily disabled privacy functions (ex: built-in VPN) and disabled the ad blocker function... no matter what, I got the same results.

So, I finally decided to look for an alternate downloader and found a few I'd like to pass along to you:

#1 - DOC DOWNLOADER - I like this downloader. Not only is it straight-forward and easy to use but it also
multi-tasks, as in it downloads from links you'll find not only Scribd.com but Issuu, Slideshare and Academia as well.

#2 - DOWNSCRIBD - Here's another downloader for Scribd that is easy to use with a simple interface. Just plug in the link you grab from the address bar in Scribd, for whatever document you want, and paste it into the text field. Click the little blue-green DOWNLOAD button and you should get the document.

#3 - ISSUU DOWNLOAD - Another downloader for Issuu documents.

#4 - ISSUU-PDF-DOWNLOADER - I really like this downloader. It handles Issuu documents only. So, to give it a "test-drive," I found an Issuu link for the Winter 2021 issue of Home Business Magazine and had no trouble whatsoever in getting the download (I'll share it near the close of the post if you want this publication).

I must warn you, though, that you might want to enable your adblocker because there were a few unnecessary distractions. I needed to close a pop-up page in order to get to the download link.

There are plenty of other options, so if you want to add more to your list of these downloaders, do a search with the keywords: Scribd (or Issuu or another platform) downloader.

I did a little due diligence and found several of them to be iffy (sometimes you get the document, sometimes you don't) so I did not add them to my list. I find that most of these apps will act quirky from time to time; it could be based on the volume of use at any given moment. But it's a good idea to compile a few links and whenever one decides it isn't going to play nice anymore, you can move on to another one without losing a beat or missing out on a good download.

LET ME REMIND YOU

These downloaders work with DOCUMENTS, so you need to be sure you grab your link from that category or you will not get a download. The word Document should show in your link. So, don't be disappointed when you grab a link from another category like BOOKS or PODCASTS and fail to get the download.

I'm still looking for a downloader that can handle BOOKS and other categories because there are some very nice choices in other categories that I'd love to have.

@Layna61524, you've peaked my interest (again) so I started to look into this stuff. One of the first things I came across was an article on how to download books from Scribd. To be fair I haven't had time to check it out. However, other articles I've read on that site have been the real deal. Hope this helps. https://techposts.org/download-scribd-books-free/
