Full Version: Legacy Problem

Have you noticed how some websites are no longer working with older versions of some browsers?

Two examples being:
Mega.io
drive.google. com

Not a problem if your browser is up to date.

Thing is, I use an older version of a firefox as it's impossible to use Legacy add-ons with later versions.
I use the Scrapbook X add-on.
It's essential for what I do.

Problem is if the website I use ScrapbookX for, goes down the same path as
Mega.io and drive.google.com
It will mean the end of my main hobby.

The add-on replacements do not work the same way as the Legacy version of Scrapbook X

Do you know of a way to force(?) Legacy add-ons to work in newer versions of Firefox?

All assistance/guidence appreciated.

Thanks.
Answering depends upon which OS you are using ??

Even though I'm a Linux user (windows refugee...) I still use the Mypal browser in an older, preferred version.
That browser came as a windows portable and AFAIK even in its newest version uses the old style extensions.
For notes in that browser I use and vastly prefer the NoteStruck extension.

I use v27.8.3 - which may be impossible to get anymore as things have changed and all I see now is an installer starting with v 28.9.0, here:
https://mypal-browser.org/release/

Main site:
https://mypal-browser.org/

Because I despise most of the lobotomized 'modern' browsers, my main browser is Basilisk for Linux - which also has a windows version and also uses the original extensions and with that I also use the NoteStruck extension.
And also most importantly - this:

More links in case it may suit you:

Hey there, smithnowt,
Bit late replying.
Thanks for your help with the legacy issue.
Went with basilisk.
Perfect!
Actually does better than Firefox.

Happy days, thanks to you, smithnowt 57yes
