Tips/advice on how to find valuable content to share in the forum
Hi everyone, here are some tips on how to find useful content to share in the forum.
I have learned a lot from Layna61524 (who has written the most wonderful, informative guides on how to find valuable content online) as well as many others here who have kindly offered their tips and advice.
The main processes to follow when looking for content are as follows:
1. Try Simplified’s amazing WP and S3 software (further instructions are available at his threads on the forum).
If a site you are searching uses Wordpress or Amazon s3, there is a good chance you can locate what you are looking for using Simplified’s software programs.
Also, try typing in the following after a website address to see if a site is using WP and their content is available:
“/wp-content/uploads/“
Sometimes you will find big open directories of content by doing this.
2. Search Google using a more advanced search strategy. e.g., if you are looking for information on publishing books for Amazon, specifically PDFs, you can use a search strategy like this:
“low content publishing” AND “KDP” filetype:pdf
This tells Google to search only for PDF documents that include the keywords “low content publishing” and “KDP”.
Also, try using this search strategy in Google to search the entire contents of a website:
site:www.plrsite.com
This search strategy retrieves a list of files/links from the site you are searching.
3. Check out book sharing sites like the following (for PDFs, ebooks):
pdfdrive.com
Search this forum as well as Google and Reddit for more links to book sharing sites containing both ebooks and audiobooks.
4. Check out graphic sharing sites like the following (for PSD files, templates, action scripts, indesign files and more):
psdkeys.com
graphicex.com
cgispread.com
freepsdvn.com
desirefx.me
5. You can download premium links from graphic sharing sites using Deepbrid.com or by signing up to multishare.cz for 5 gig of free premium link downloads (another amazing site recommended by Layna).
6.Search sites that have premium courses available for free (premium courses from Udemy and WSO courses etc). You can find links to premium course sharing sites on this forum.
7.Other sites
There are some other interesting sites like Persian download sites (Layna has recommended a few) where you can download premium courses and content for free. Also check out Reddit for lists of sites where you can download ebooks, audiobooks etc for free. They have very long lists there that are always being updated.
8.Searching open directories, Google Drive and file sharing sites.
You can search all publicly available Google Drive links as well as open directories and even the entirety of file sharing sites like zippyshare.com
9.Youtube.
There is some great content over at Youtube (especially coupons/codes for software) that you may not be able to find elsewhere.
10.Specialist search engines.
Sites like Filechef.com (another great site recommended by Layna) allow you to search for direct download links to ebooks, software and more.
11. Other search strategies (to find PLR etc)
Type “Thank you for your purchase” or “Congratulations on your purchase” into Google and see what turns up. Eg, try typing this into Google:
“Thankyou for your purchase” (OR “Thank you for your purchase”) and “Download” and “PLR”
You might find some interesting PLR downloads using this search strategy.
Also, searching merchant sites like Gumroad for freebies using Google is always a great idea (e.g. searching Gumroad for free KDP interiors). Type the following into Google:
site:gumroad.com “KDP interior” and “free”
12.Searching other BH sites for info/downloads - there are a few that contain interesting info but, of course, BBHF is the best one!
13. Group Buys.
If you can’t find the content for free, you can try purchasing the item you are looking for as part of a “Group Buy” here.
14. Search the “Requests” area of BBHF for downloads that have been shared in response to requests of others
15. Ask another forum member who is interested in the same topics if they have the content you are looking for.
16. Try searching other forums (e.g, discussion boards, business forums and niche forums) for content. Some specific niche sites have very active forums and share a lot of information, resources, downloads etc that you may find useful.
17. Sign up to every email list on your topic , every Facebook group, etc. You will find valuable information through emails from different content providers (and sometimes even freebies). Also in FB groups they will share resources and give you tips/info that you won’t find anywhere else so be sure to sign up to everything you can find.
18. Udemy and Teachable
Check Udemy and Teachable and other course sites for free courses/content and also the Udemy thread on this forum for free coupons to amazing courses (The Udemy thread here on BBHF is amazing - thank you to everyone who gives out coupons)
19. Holiday offers, giveaways and competitions.
Always remember Black Friday is THE DAY for giveaways. Check your email and favourite sites on this day for the best software deals and giveaways. Also keep up to date with competitions/contests from your favourite providers. There are sites that give away free software, graphic bundles and apps (think Creative Fabrica and Designious for graphics bundles, Giveawayoftheday and BitsDuJour for free software, Free App Friday for free apps, etc). Join competition sites and also check out competitions and giveaways on FB, Twitter and Instagram.
20. Join Twitter, instagram, Facebook, email lists (e.g, email lists from your favourite PLR providers), niche specific online discussion boards (e.g. Kindle Boards if you are interested in writing or Warrior Forum if you are interested in WSOs), Telegram, Discord and other useful places to get information.
**Finally, practise the law of attraction/positive thinking in your search for content - it does truly help. Pray, think positively and visualise yourself finding the content you are looking for! Be persistent and never give up. Also remember to always check your favourite PLR/content provider sites weekly or monthly to check for newly released content. You may find it useful to keep a planner/diary to help you to stay organised.**
