There's no doubt about it, everyone has their favorite type of file format. It's a pain though to constantly convert something you've downloaded, sure there are plenty of free file change sites on the web, but why bother?

Despite the "pdf" name of this software, it will open both pdf and epub files. You can download it here.

Sumatra PDF is indeed a terrific app - light, nimble and quick.
It is made for windows, but as a Linux user I also use it via WINE and it works perfectly.

Lastly, from my personal uses I must add that since I use an ebook reader device alot, PDFs are OK - but very slow to render vs. EPUBs that render almost instantly for each page displayed.
That is why I prefer EPUB files most of the time for ebooks and perhaps others have noticed this rendering speed difference with handheld devices as well.
