Review:
It's a 241-page book from 2009 about social media for business. Looking back in 2021, the social media landscape has completely changed.

Some of the platforms like Facebook that also existed back then have undergone almost 100 per cent changes in user interfaces and the way that they are used by businesses.

Was Facebook even used for business seriously in 2009? I am not able to recollect because it was over a decade ago!

Other platforms like MySpace that are discussed in the book stopped existing years ago.

The kindest words I can say about this book is that it could be read as a piece of nostalgia, and a few laughs on what used to happen in what can be counted as the pre-historic times of social media.

Seriously, 2009 is centuries old in social media terms. I did quickly glance through it to check it out, but actually reading a 200+ page book like this is a waste of valuable time.

Not quite sure why it was shared here.
Thank you for the excellent review....I saw the publication date of 2009 and thought the same thing before downloading.

Any good book you can recommend regarding this for 2021?

No. Anyone who is really good at social media marketing will never write a book on it. Besides, IMO you can master only one form of social media i.e. you can either be an expert on Facebook, or Twitter, or Pinterest etc.

The worst part about relying on a book or even a video course is that these platforms change very fast, in terms of UI, features and rules. If anyone launches a course on Facebook Ads today, it will be outdated in less than 6 months, unless the course creator updates it regularly and almost none do.

It's better to learn by being a user - maybe use tips of experienced users if they publish them on their blogs or YouTube. Reading the top social media blogs is a good start(Google search) because they publish all the latest changes and tips.
