OK...Here's my review.

I received a message asking for the email i wanted to use to create the account. This is great, as it proves it is not a shared account. I then received an invitation to sign up which i did using the email i had given to the OP. Also i was able to create my own password, again proving its not a shared account.

Inside Canva, under my account, it clearly states it is a lifetime account. I have bought the 3 year account recently, so i can see the difference. At the top of the page, when designing an image, if its a free account, you have a link saying sign up for pro, that is not visible on this account. When i do a design every element is available. Where it normally says "PRO" its says "EDU" and confirms it is available to use.

The cheapest i have seen a lifetime pro account for is $45 so this is a great deal.

The OP has responded quickly to my questions and i 100% recommend this offer.
