Low-content books and other materials offer an easy way for just about anyone to become a published author because it requires very little writing skill.

Now, imagine if you had a library of resources you could "tap" whenever you wanted to, that will make it even easier to create low-content products!

Well, if you currently (or plan to) create low-content activity books and work sheets for children, there are many resources --- free and online --- ready and available to help you by providing creative ideas.

I compiled a list of sites that will provide you with product "starters" or ideas to create your own low-content products. These sites give you free downloads to similar products you can use to inspire or make your own creations better.

Now, this doesn't mean no work is required on your end. Don't be lazy and use these items as your own or you can find yourself in a world of legal hurt. Make them different and, perhaps, better.

Adapt them from one subject to another. Use your own illustrations, format ... just use the download as something to get your creative juices flowing.

Based on your own creativity and effort, these sites will give you enough "fodder" to adapt into products you can create quickly and easily that could sell like hotcakes!

EVER ... use what you download "as is" and adequately make edits so it completely becomes your own. The last thing you want to do is create something that sells well, only to have complaints and worse (legal challenges) because your product is identified as belonging to someone else. And usually, that someone else has deeper pockets or access to legal resources that could shut your business down for good.

So be smart and do it right the first time. Use these downloads for IDEAS ONLY --- to inspire your inner creativity in developing totally new creations.

But let me advise you again, be careful. We in black-hat are accustomed to downloading copyrighted materials for our own edification (self-learning) but when you plan to sell a product as your own, you cannot do it with copyrighted booklets and other materials.

If you do, you can eventually expect to be "outed" and if you are sued, you will pay the price not only in restitution (for lost profits) but ultimately, in the loss of your business's credibility. There is no way to "save face" after a lawsuit for selling content you did not create. Bad news travels fast online and your respectability will suffer.

Now, chances are I'm wrong (I'm not an attorney and I don't play one on TV) but I believe that if your coloring book and activity page images are generic enough so as not to exactly mimic the official NFL logos, emblems and other proprietary assets, you won't need to worry about being contacted by the NFL's attorneys. But if you attempt to use the team names, official-looking logos, players names, etc. (which ARE ) then that would require NFL approval before you can sell your products.

To be sure, please check with someone who can provide you with their professional legal expertise. Copyright and trademark protections are nothing to mess with and the NFL's "deep pockets" can legally wipe your business off the face of the earth.

The real purpose of this share is to show you, there are ways to use copyrighted materials as INSPIRATION for creating some of your own. You don't need to steal when you can creatively borrow. It's just a matter of knowing how much you can use and what you need to change to stay within the limits of the law.

But everything under the sun begins with a mere idea. And there is literally NO LIMIT to the ideas you can get --- all free and online --- when you know how to search for inspiration to create your own low-content products.

Thanks for a well thought out reply Layna.

Not what I was expecting but after re-reading over what I originally said I can understand the reasoning behind it.

I did a poor job of conveying my question across.

In essence I was just wondering if the people that were acquiring these items were actually using them for what they were intended for. I have no doubt that if low content material is being used as intended, there is no way to not make at least a little money.

I see so many people asking for this, that or the other on just about a daily basis and it makes me wonder if they are even taking the time to even use what they are asking for, let alone make any money from it.

That's one of the reasons that I am not on the forum as much as I once was because I AM using what I get and a whole bunch of what I purchase.

With shops on Etsy and Redbubble, I spend a lot of time making sure that what I am selling stands out above all the other similar items. I do this by making sure that what I put up is a one-of-a-kind item that no one else has. Sometimes this is real easy to do and then other times it takes a lot of patience and work!

Then I have my little side business on Kindle and the best part about this is that once I have my product published here I really don't have to do anything more to it except publish more of the same.

For Kindle I will say one thing.

The particular area that I focus in will never become saturated, never become dull and unless the world comes to an end will never run out of buyers!!!

And no, I will never, ever even if drunk tell anyone (Not even my wife, she thinks I'm a freaking genius) what area this is.

But the one thing that gets me the most is the fact that everyone and their brother think that the information that they are getting for $7 or $17 is the only answer they need to solve all their problems.

Just push this button and tomorrow you will have a million dollars in the bank. Ain't the internet wonderbar?

And, as you mentioned, if you had the only supply of water in the desert would you be selling it for $7? What a laugh.

Yes, I know that I have requested a few items that fit within this area but my motive is just in seeing what the competition is working on and how I can go about taking basically the same exact item and turning it into a power seller for a whole lot more.

Well I guess that's enough yaking from me so I'm going to start work on a new project I hope to have ready by January 1, 2021. It may not be a million seller but it will keep me in beer money and at my age that means a lot!

You may not believe this, but when I read the first part of your message, it came across as exactly what you intended (now that you have clarified to me what you meant) but as I kept reading, somehow, that morphed into something more universal than whether or not our forum readers were using low-content resources as they should be.

Please disregard my long-winded message. In fact, to be sure it is disregarded by everyone here, I will go back and remove it.

I don't enjoy disappointing my forum friends and since my message wasn't what you expected, I will take care of that. My post is a moot point since I misinterpreted your question.
