YES - just as the title of this thread says=>
Whenever you see _____ here, it is REALLY...
Just an interview MISLABELED as a 'course'.
Filling in that blank now - it is when either of these 2 things shows in new threads here:
'ScottP', or '3 Days only!'
Seeing either or both of those it tells me to just pass it by without so much as a look - because that will waste my time and efforts.
And why am I posting this ??
Scott Paton is likely the best known INTERVIEWER at Udemy - but;
Thinking that he is any sort of actual instructor - is pure foolishness.
The 1st few times I ran across his Udemy INTERVIEWS his presentation skill impressed me - but that was short lived, sadly.
It soon became too obvious that Scott Paton makes his $$$$ by just talking with other folks and using THEIR skills to make it LOOK like he knows their stuff.
That is Pure BS.
So, when you look at his page here:
https://www.udemy.com/user/scottpaton/
You'll see these stats=>
"Scott Paton
Executive Producer (42 Podcasts, 150+ Udemy courses)"
Along with this summary=>
"Scott Paton has been podcasting since the spring of 2005. He has executive produced and/or co-hosted over 45 podcasts. An internationally renowned speaker, Scott has presented to audiences from London, England to Sydney, Australia, from Vancouver, BC to New York, NY, from LA to Rwanda."
And his domain name positively confirms these observations:
http://www.powerpodcasters.com/
If he truly wanted to share HIS OWN skills, he'd have to make an entire series of REAL, ACTUAL courses about INTERVIEWING OTHERS !!
