The kind of imagination that JK Rowling has used in her books doesn't come easily. She brought something which was unique and new. The effort to write something totally unimaginable and new takes a lot of time and effort. In her guide, she made a lot of things very simple for writers but the imagination she used is nowhere near simple. So personally I think that we will need a lot of skills in addition to the guide.

Hi David Patterson, thanks for your comment. These books were intended to be helpful guides for writers. A lot of writers enjoy learning from other writers so I'm hoping the writers in this community will find these books useful and interesting.

Rowling's work is far from new in the sense that people have been writing that kind of stuff for eons.
