@LocalGhost: You're welcome, friend. Yes, seems it's time to change niches. Without revealing anything about the specific niche(s) you're in, would you happen to be in the "local" sector? I'm looking at your username, so that's why I asked.
If so, that may be the problem and I'm thinking with COVID-19 and the resulting crap economy (no matter where in the world you are), that could be a factor.
Maybe you can try a bigger niche or go wider ... if not national, maybe regional in scope? A bigger and more diverse marketplace could make all the difference. Or with a little creativity, you could re-purpose the niche you are currently in (ex: present a brand new way to do it or apply it to a different niche).
I'm just thinking out loud and don't have any concrete ideas I can share.
Here are a few articles that might get your creative juices flowing --- bookmark any that "click" with you:
NICHE-RELATED WEBSITE READINGS
And here are 6 e-books I found over at {{{Blocked by Omni Potens, reason: reports from LEGIT GB STARTER}}}.org. Some of them will be fairly "dated" but you can extract the value and leave the rest; then update your knowledge with current best practices for niche marketing.
NICHE-RELATED E-BOOKS -
I don't know if you will find any of this helpful but sometimes, reading a lot will trigger an idea-bubble or get you to start thinking "outside the box." A different way of doing something, combining two niches or expanding on a sub-niche could create a brand new trend or craze that gives your current business a whole new meaning. The way you market it, of course, determines success.
I wish you the very best.
@All who posted: Thanks for your supportive posts and kind words. It's amazing this share is getting such great feedback... I don't know what I was thinking to come so close to deleting it after I'd composed it.
I'm happy that so many of you are finding some real value in it.
